Tasted on 8/7/19

Opened 7/19 It's an enjoyable pour which actually makes a nice old fashioned. It still has a strong ethanol burn to it, but you don't get the spiciness that you get from a bourbon that uses rye as the secondary grain.

Tasted 7/23/19 at Park & Rec Not as sweet as i expected considering it is finished in wine barrels which is actually a good thing. The mouthfeel was a little thin with a medium finish.

Tasted 7/17/19 I don't know the exact percentages between the three whiskies, but i would say that the peated scotch overcomes the whole flavor profile and not necessarily in a good way. For me, this was not a good blend, but i think for the scotch drinkers out there, this may be a nice transition into the American whiskey world! Unfortunately as a bourbon and rye fan, it ain't for me.

Tasted 7/14/19

Always thought of Bulleit as a low quality bourbon until I actually tried it. For the price point it is a pretty decent pour. You can taste the rye from the beginning through the finish which is medium in length. For the proof it is a little thin, but a very easy sipping high rye bourbon.

Tasted at Whiskey House SD on 6/26/19. The nose on this smells like old furniture and a bit musty, but in a way that makes sense for a 21 year old whisky! On the pallet the fruit flavor really shine, but i wouldn't say that they are over powering. It is definitely different from any Japanese whisky i have tasted, but for me I am curious to try the Hibiki 17 year because I think that is probably a better age for this particular whisky.
