Very strange, almost astringent finish. They are trying to stand out with this one, but to me the apple flavors take over the rye characteristics. Tough to drink for me, not a favorite

So lucky to find this, buy at almost any price. Tremendous, the best rye this rye lover ever had, that includes Black Maple Hill

Good but not great, a bit pricey for what it is.

Even though Chip Tate was unceremoniously disconnected from Balcones, this is an excellent whiskey. Super unique with a ton of flavor. Amazing what can be done in non-traditional areas by distillers with determination and talent. Like an excellent single malt with no smoke and a nice malt finish
