True this is pushing the limit when it comes to aging rye, but as a rye fan I still think it’s fantastic. Oak, pepper, & baking spices on the nose with molasses, clove and an intense (almost too abrupt) dry finish on the palette. I get why this could be a turn-off for some, but I’m still a fan.

Incredible. After all these years, Julian is still doing his thing to ensure the Van Winkle line remains top notch. Take a drop, smear it across ur palm and bury your face in it and you’ll get an olfactory experience only Pappy can deliver.

Old Carter is hands down my favorite whiskey brand, but the bottles are hard to get (especially this one!). This delivered on all levels, just amazing.
