Batch 14-01, 113.2 proof. Caramel, dark cherries and spices, vanilla. Rich, smooth and warm.

Old Carter is hands down my favorite whiskey brand, but the bottles are hard to get (especially this one!). This delivered on all levels, just amazing.

Fantastic. For once I recognize everything they mention on the nose, palate, and finish. Caramel, toffee, oak, vanilla, spices and leather. So smooth, warm and full for a KC with nice depth.

Very bright and herbaceous rye, the flavor comes through sharp and fresh, maybe thanks to the Rocky Mountain water.

Shucks, I was really looking forward to this one and have to say I am not a fan. Very rare I don’t like something with this high of a Distiller rating, but I suppose that’s the beauty of bourbon. Many different palettes, many different experiences.
