Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted October 30, 2022This is my first taste of Larceny and I have to say it is really nice! Butterscotch and banana aromas. Very sweet flavors of maple syrup, a little cinnamon and oak. The woody flavor hangs on at the finish leaving me wanting another sip. This one will definitely be on my list to keep around.
Jack Daniel's Triple Mash
Blended American Whiskey — Tennessee, USATasted September 7, 2022It took me a while to find a bottle of this and it is well worth the hunt. On the nose I get a lot of really ripe bananas and pancakes. The flavor is surprising with spice cake, honey, more bananas, and a roasted nut finish. Overall, I'm really liking this one. Hopefully I can pick up another bottle before it sells out.Imbibe Chattanooga-Wine Spirits Beer
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted July 31, 2022As others have pointed out this bourbon is an absolute steal! Vanilla, brown sugar and cherry aromas with a slight hint of acetone. The flavors start out with honey roasted peanuts and cherries fading into a nice woody cinnamon finish. At around $18.00 for a 750ml bottle you cannot go wrong.Valley Wine & Spirits
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted July 16, 2022Simple, but really good. Sweet vanilla aroma with a slight woody background. The flavor is creamed corn with extra butter and black pepper. The charred oaky sweetness lingers at the end but isn't overpowering. This is just a really nice unfussy bourbon.
Chattanooga Whiskey 99 Rye
Rye — Tennessee, USATasted June 15, 2022At this point I'm comfortable saying that if the bottle has a Chattanooga Whiskey label on it, it's going to be good. Their rye whiskey is no exception with a sweet, spicy nose and velvety mouth feel. The flavor is peppery, with a hint of chocolate, cherry, vanilla and oak. Another outstanding offering from Chattanooga Whiskey.
Chattanooga Whiskey Bottled in Bond Bourbon (Spring 2018)
Bourbon — Tennessee, USATasted June 15, 2022I didn't get to taste Chattanooga Whiskey's BIB 2017 edition, but I can't imagine it being much better than this. On the nose I'm getting toasty butterscotch and vanilla, with a hint of cinnamon and orange. The flavor for me is really complex with woody sweetness, cherries, and citrus. Overall, it's very smooth with a velvety feel on the tongue and an aftertaste of oak and lime. I absolutely love it!!
Bushmills Black Bush
Blended — Northern IrelandTasted May 14, 2022Easily my favorite Bushmills variety. Apples, pears, and white grape aromas. Initially tart and fruity on the tongue followed quickly by rich vanilla, honey and a hint of cinnamon. I will undoubtedly keep a bottle of this in my home bar all the time.Imbibe Chattanooga-Wine Spirits Beer
Bushmills 10 Year Single Malt
Single Malt — Northern IrelandTasted May 14, 2022I really wanted to like this one more than I actually did. It starts off just fine on the nose with vanilla and light fruit. Initially, the taste is very close to the aroma with honey and fruit, however, in the end there is a flavor note there that just doesn't sit well with me. The best way I can describe it is meat broth. This is probably an issue with my pallette and not the whiskey, but I just couldn't get past it when drinking it neat. It did mix well, hence the 2.5 stars. I have really enjoyed the other Bushmills varieties that I've tried (with Black Bush being my favorite), so if I can locate a second bottle of this I'll give it another try. Hopefully it will be different the second time around.
Johnnie Walker Black Label
Peated Blend — ScotlandTasted April 13, 2022I'm really surprised by this one. I expected a huge kick of smoke. It's there, but really subdued. The nose is mostly pear, white grapes, honey, and again, very light smoke. On the tongue I'm getting the fruit again with butterscotch followed by black pepper, oak and light smoke.Imbibe Chattanooga-Wine Spirits Beer
Chattanooga Whiskey Barrel Finishing Series Islay Scotch Cask Finish
Other Whiskey — Tennessee, USATasted April 13, 2022Number three from Chattanooga Whiskey for me and this is the best one yet. The nose is light, smokey, sweet vanilla and dark brown sugar. I don't think I can adequately describe the flavor. It's surprisingly smooth with very little burn. Then comes the sweet vanilla and brown sugar again with some black pepper, and that light smoke! This one may very well get me into trouble!Imbibe Chattanooga-Wine Spirits Beer
