Smooth. Some oak and sweetness. Not at all complex. Just kind of average. Price considered this is a great value. Good for mixed drinks. 1.75L

Hot alcohol burn. Needs water. Still burns even after water. Dry oak. Rye. Spicy.

Perfectly balanced sweetness and oak up front. Finish is smooth and bold but a little too short for my liking. 14 year old store pick. Barrel #6508 selected by NH.

Very similar to Elijah Craig 12. A bit less complex but smoother. Update: After revisiting this much later I didn’t care much for it. I know this is a single barrel but this particular barrel is lackluster. I am a big fan of Heaven Hill products but this just isn’t worth it considering the recent price increase.

All the right bourbon flavors to stand up to the huge toasted flavor. So complex. The smell is just perfect. Incredibly smooth for 100 proof. It just goes down too easy and the finish keeps going and going.

OBSV. Rye with a bit of sweetness. Didn't really do it for me.

Marshmallow and vanilla. Campfire. Smooth and sweet. You can really taste the toasted barrel.

Peanut. Taffy. Sherry, but not overwhelmingly so. Enjoyable but not worth the price.

Very rich. Char, oak, grape. Honey sweetness. Much sweeter than Woodford Double Oak. Hot. It's good but I prefer Old Forester 1920.
