This was their 2014 Feis Isle bottling. Sweet & salty. Maybe like a candied bacon. Or maple syrup with bacon. The finish lingers with heat (49%). There’s vanilla, too, which is my favorite of the flavors.

Wood sap & smoked brown sugar. A little Bitter like unripe nuts. Admittedly, we had done a cask strength Laphroiag tasting just before. So I don’t think this guy got the justice he deserves. Will be keeping my eye out for it if it ever reaches the states.

Honey through and through. I could pick this out as a Balvenie at a blind tasting. Reminds me a lot of their double wood 12 without the young bite. Candied orange. The ending is long & subtle.

Lightly sherried and lasts for a long time. The finish has some slight tobacco. Unfortunately, this was like number 8 on the day. There was complexity and it’s long finish would make me buy it if I ever saw it again. Couldn’t pick out a ton of notes tho. Thanks, destroyed palette.

Yummy but not worth the extra price point compared to the 15. There’s a spice that sticks around. It’s sweet like vanilla and honey, but there’s really not a ton of complexity. I was expecting more.

Leathery and spice. Sweet a little bit like chocolate oranges. Runs a little hot & I didn’t have water. Would probably be really good with that to balance it out.

Sweet like molasses Didn’t have quite the same long finish as the 2020. I couldn’t pick up on much (maybe cuz this was no. 6 of the night?) and was generally unimpressed.
