A bottom shelf $12 bourbon that delivers what you’d expect. It’s very light in color, proof, and complexity. Earthy barrel with the smallest hint of vanilla. Its too light to use as a mixer. Id rather spend double, even for daily sipping. So, not sure were this would fit in a collection. And if you’re lookong for an available bourbon with hints of buffalo trace flavor, look elsewhere.

Earthy, grassy, peppery. Lacks sweetness. This one neat is not for me. It mixed well with cola for a unique twist.

It’s comfortable and everything you need from a bourbon. Nothing special but worth a try.

One of the better bourbons I’ve ever unscrewed.

Young, barrel, spicy. I didn’t expect much from a Costco bourbon and I didn’t get much. I’ll use it in mixers but opt for the Evan Williams white label next time I need a value.

Lives up to the reputation. Classic nose. Taste like bourbon with a sparkler. Weird but true. I can’t believe it’s 115 proof. Goes down like 95. I paid $65 and would say that’s fair.

Baked dark fruit cobbler with spices. Old Grand-Dad 114 reminds me more of my old grand-ma’s desserts. Surprisingly easy to drink for 114 proof. Good value at $33

Nose is nothing but alcohol. Taste is classic bourbon LITE but with a nice hug. I would bash it but it’s $19!! And honestly, at that price it’s worth every penny.

Four Roses Single Barrel is one of my go to bourbons. I thought I’d give the budget 4Rs a try. I won’t be going back. No flavor. No finish. Proof is too low for mixing. This one doesn’t have a place on my shelf. $23

I drink bourbon so maybe it’s my intro to corn whiskey but this is just not my style. It taste so young. I was hoping to have the corn sweetness that I appreciate in bourbon but it more like someone wrung out the corn husk and slapped a blue label on it. $23 is a fair price though.
