Kilkerran Work in Progress #7 Sherry Wood
Single Malt — Campeltown, Scotland
Reviewed March 14, 2021 (edited May 7, 2021)Nose: malty grain/cereals, vanilla, sweet orange and grape. Smells like Cream Soda. Taste: harsh, apple, honey, spice and light peat Finish: medium sweet finish with some burnt ash at the end The nose is amazing and the taste lets it down a bit. Young and a little harsh, love the Sherry influence. Need to try the 8 yr Sherry Cask Strength. -

Young and you can tell it’s starting to get some character, but not there yet. The Work in Progress series are interesting bottles. -

This is a good dram, but the quality doesn’t live up to the age. You expect more from a 23 year old Scotch, but it’s a great dram for price. -
