Nose: floral, lemon, oak, vanilla Taste: vanilla, woody, salty, caramel and some pepper. A dark tea as well Finish: long, spicey, warm

Nose: golden apple Taste: honey forward, some salt/brine Finish: long, glorious The finish is amazing, great dram.

Nose: earthy, Caramel, medicinal, vanilla and apple/citrus sweetness Taste: meaty, heather, Smokey, peaty, spicey, with a sweetness. I can’t place what the sweetness is., maybe honey and/or lemon. Finish: sweet and salty finish with smoke and burning in the back of your throat. Excellent whisky, need to try this one heads up against Lag16. If the price stays low, will be always in my collection.

Nose: Dark fruits, raisins, orange. All sweetness Taste: simple, smooth and friendly. Tangerine, cherry, nutmeg and cinnamon, Carmel. Finish: short, not oily Not very challenging, but a smooth easy drinking whisky.

Nose: peat, smoke, earth, leather, meat, dark fruit Taste: concentrated flavor, smoke, earth, salinity, tobacco and sweetness. Very oily Finish: long, rich and spicy and Smokey finish Wow, what a dram. Very good, the best I have tasted from Kilchoman. I love the sherries Islays, and this does not disappoint.

Nose: cherry, cinnamon, woody Taste: sweetness, cranberry, woody and spicey Finish: lingering heat Does not taste like an Irish initially, maybe due to the Sherry influence. Almost like a Speyside. Great whisky for price though, complex and engaging.

Nose: floral, vanilla and cinnamon and nutmeg. Maple syrup with butter. Taste: Wow, alcohol forward. Warmth. Sweetness but overtaken by the alcohol. Carmel, some vanilla. Red apple. Finish: sweetness comes back. Medium finish Very nice wheater when it can be bought at retail.

I can’t believe I am just trying this now. Great dram. On the nose it’s smoke first, but behind it there is pear and sweaty peat reek. Salty, seaweed as well. On the taste it’s spicy, Smokey and peat, peat, peat. So much flavor, with an oily, strong lingering Smokey finish. Really nice.

Freshly cut grass, smoke, salt and iodine on the nose. Peat and smoke at first, alcohol burn with sister vanilla, lemon and sawdust. A long finish dominated by the smoke , spice and warmth of the alcohol. Amazing whisky, one of the best from Lagavulin.

Laphroaig 10 turned up. Everything the ten is, just more of it. Brine and some soft sweetness on the nose. The burn is there but is overcome by the meaty BBQ ribs, smoke, some wood and raisin. The burn returns on the finish with lingering smoke and peat. Some water turns up the meaty flavors. Very good malt.
