Reviewed July 29, 2020 (edited December 26, 2020)Lightly spiced lemon and juniper notes on the nose. Palate hits with some perfume-like spices and florals melting into sweet smooth citrus. Juniper definitely takes a back seat, maki my this a good option for those friends who say “I don’t like gin, it tastes like I’m licking a pine tree.” Pretty long finish leaving notes of cardamom and coriander. -

Appearance: Clear, bright amber. Incredibly slow legs Nose: simple, pepper, rye, malted grains, subtle notes of caramel Palate: Initially sweet quickly followed by peppery spice. The other grains provide a biscuity note. Adding some water pulls out the vanilla and caramel imparted by the barrel along with a light chili pepper note. Finish: pretty straightforward light spiciness. Mild intensity, but long lasting.

Reviewed March 15, 2020Nose: grains jump out first, definitely showcasing the malts, followed by fresh peanuts and a hint of chocolate. Palate hits with a smooth sweetness, vanillins, light oak, notes of chocolate. Adding a touch of water opens this up to the grain variety finish starts off with notes of chili peppers, a bit of alcohol burn that fades into light baking spices. Long lingering finish -

Color: Medium amber with a touch of brilliant shine. Fairly quick to fall, but long lingering legs. Nose: Strong vanilla up front with a subtle undertone…maybe butterscotch? Nearer notes of light oak and spices Palate: The barley and corn dance around with some baking spices and apple with just a hint of vanilla. It all wraps up with a touch of smoky charred oak Adding a touch of water blends the grains into something reminiscent of a single malt, highlighting the smooth vanillin rich oakiness
