Sweet with light spice and a hint of leather. From what I remember it seems like it would be a mix between Bacardi Gold and Bacardi 8 Year, better tasting than either but sharing the same qualities. Didn't seem like anything special but it might be worth a second try. $32 in Ontario.32.0 CAD per Bottle

Espolòn Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed July 8, 2016 (edited August 17, 2018)Light sweet roasted agave and oak. Moderately smooth but oily in texture and taste, dulling the otherwise good flavour. $40 in Ontario.40.0 CAD per Bottle -
My first white whiskey. It's really interesting to taste unaged rye. It's light and crisp. It obviously lacks the caramelization it would gain from aging. The taste isn't all bad. It tastes like what it is, fermented raw grain. It's the high ABV that kills it. It's a more subtle taste profile that's completely overpowered by raw alcohol. Not available in Ontario.

Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Year Rum
Aged Rum — Jamaica
Reviewed June 21, 2016 (edited August 17, 2018)Same profile as V/X but heavier, strong charcoal, without gaining smoothness or complexity. It's not bad as a dark rum but not at all as refined as I was hoping for. $41 in Ontario.41.0 CAD per Bottle -
El Jimador Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed June 20, 2016 (edited August 17, 2018)Rough, strong peppery burn up front that eventually gives way to light oak, crisp, sweet and rich roasted agave and lingering white pepper. Beneath the rough exterior it's great, and the aftertaste is delicious. Unfortunately the peppery burn overpowers the other flavours, even when mixed. $31 in Ontario.31.0 CAD per Bottle -
Forty Creek Double Barrel Reserve
Canadian — Ontario, Canada
Reviewed June 20, 2016 (edited August 17, 2018)Mediocre bourbon/rye taste. Nothing special. A little raw and overly sweet. $60 in Ontario.60.0 CAD per Bottle -
Bright, in-your-face "medicinal" peat, briny seaweed, and heather honey type sweetness. Dry and acidic mid palate and throughout the lingering finish. Like licking a burnt band-aid, in the best way possible :). Best bang for your buck peat giant. I completely understand the appeal but for me the taste is a novelty to be shared with unsuspecting newcomers, wonderfully distinct but a little unrefined to truly savour. $85 in Ontario.85.0 CAD per BottleThe Bauer Kitchen

Stone fruit and heather honey sweetness with a fairly strong burn and lingering spice. It's got an Irish whiskey quality. Like mixing some Bowmore 15 Yr Darkest with a heap of Bushmills. Great underlying flavour but not nearly as refined as I would like. A less robust Aberlour 12 Yr but still not smooth enough to be truly enjoyable. $60 in Ontario.60.0 CAD per BottleThe Bauer Kitchen
