Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 19, 2016 (edited March 11, 2017)Smell of smooth sherry and vanilla. Slight sherry taste result from short time in cask. A little sweetness, oily, tough coating and not much burn. A little raisin, sherry and vanilla flavor. Not bad especially if u wan some sherry flavor in your whisky but not those sherey dominant ones. -
Glenmorangie Signet
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 19, 2016 (edited April 27, 2017)Had a dram during October 19, 2016 Glenmorangie tasting event with Dr Bill Lumsden! Never in my life I had a whisky that have such rich chocolaty on the nose! Follow with smell of coffee and malt. First sip, dark chocolate, expresso and some spices! Hmm.. maybe a hint of orange? Definitely my favourite Glenmorangie whisky~ -
First smell out from the bottle... Thinner! Left it breath around 10min, the oak and some vanilla note surface. No peat smell? Maybe some honey? First sip, brine, smoke? Some honey, vanilla. Still no peat? Thin bodies. Aftertaste is short. Ok.. after finish the drum. Surprise, Peat smell in the empty glass! Well wasnt as bad as I thought (especially the first smell).

Glenfarclas 17 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 4, 2016 (edited April 17, 2017)Erm, it smell and taste like a lighter Glenfarclas 12. Thats awkward as it is much more expensive than the 12. Smooth fruits and vanilla dominate the entire palate, followed with some spices. Personally I like the Glenfarclas 15 more. Its cheaper and the taste and smell is stronger, not as complex but the sherry and fruits punch is there~ Glenfarclas 17 3.5/5
