Tastes

There are notes of seaweed, brine, and dried fruits. This dram starts sweet and ends woody on the tongue with notes of raisins, oak, and lavender.

The nose is a burst of vanilla, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and rye grains. Pickled jalapenos, baking spices, warm rye spice, and molasses treat the tongue. This is a full bodied, lovely whiskey.

There are elements of peat, smoke, rubber, oil, and brine on the nose. The palate has elements of peat, herbs, iodine, brine, vanilla, minerals, and seaweed. There is a delicate sweetness that underlies the strong oily, smoky, and mineral notes.

There are aromas of pineapple, green apples, fresh cut grass, and salty sea air. It starts sweet and gets smokier on the tongue. It is fruity and salty and delicate. A solid dram.

The nose is fresh paint, nail polish remover, and roses. On the tongue there is initially chlorine, then a sweetness with vanilla and buttered popcorn. This sounds negative but it is very enjoyable.

The nose is fresh and earthy with wet leaves and pear. On the tongue, it is sweet and floral with notes of honey, raisins, sweet rose, and melon.

There are aromas of granny smith apples and honey with a light brininess. This is a relatively sweet dram with vanilla and dark fruit like cherries with elements of ocean brine.

There is a sweetness to the nose with damp rotting leaves and butterscotch. There is a rancio to this dram with a puckering sweetness with notes of camphor, caramel, and soil. Very complex.
