There are strong aromas of sherry and smokey oak with a hint of sweet, astringent wood varnish. The wood notes carry over to the palate with flavors of tangy, earthy young oak and light peat. The finish is long and sweet. This is a delicate dram with amazing balance.

The nose is a delicate balance of peat, caramel, toffee, and flowers with an essence of barley underneath. The mouth feel is full, and the flavors are astoundingly well balanced. There are notes of caramel, peat, herbaceous flowers, brine, and light smoke. This is a truly wonderful and rare dram. A total must-try.

On the nose, there is burnt sugar with rye grain, oak, and dark fruits. On the palate there is the distinct rye spice with orange peel and oak undertones. The mouth feel is spicy and buttery. The finish is long with a slight bit of pickle brine.

The malted rye grains make this smell very chocolatey. The palate is chocolate, coffee, and rye. Relatively one-note but an extremely interesting and pleasurable one note.

The nose is smoky, peaty, and briny – campfire-like with a tar note. There is a sweet burnt rubber on the tongue with cedar smoke on the finish.

There is a refreshing pear aroma with notes of honey and vanilla. It is a delicate dram with a mild flavor similar to the aroma. The light sweet and briny notes make this an extremely easy, but relatively uninspired drinker.

There are baking spices, vanilla, salt, and dark fruits, especially raisins, on the nose. It is very spicy on the tongue, with vanilla, burnt sugar, and dark fruits. This is very rich and warming, towing the line between spicy and fiery.

The nose is briny and peaty with dark fruits. This scotch is a campfire on the tongue with flavors of marzipan and salt and a mouthfeel that is buttery, delicate, and rich in all the right ways. Such good stuff.
