Reviewed September 16, 2020Immediately you’re hit with strong notes of peat, hickory smoke, rubber, oak, and black currants. It tastes like riding on a motorcycle after a rainstorm in the best way possible. There are notes of damp moss, burnt rubber, peat, smoke, and an earthy sweetness. This is ridiculously interesting and incredible. -

Reviewed September 13, 2020The nose is very traditional for Tennessee whiskey with corn, maple, oak, vanilla, and baking spices. On the tongue, however, this is full bodied and oily with brown sugar, maple syrup, baking spices, and vanilla. -

Reviewed September 13, 2020 (edited April 2, 2021)There are notes of peat, vanilla, green apple, and brine on the nose. Vanilla and caramel are on the forefront of the tongue betraying the bourbon cask aging along with orange and a wisp of smoke on the finish. -

Reviewed September 13, 2020 (edited November 8, 2021)This is a monster of a dram. Baking spices, caramel, and oak are some of the main aromas. There is a lot of vanilla on the tongue with the spiciness and heat that portray the proof with an interesting note of tropical fruits like papaya in the background.
