Like the mango version, the fruit smell and flavor comes through nicely (and it’s a nice pink color). Watermelon isn’t usually a strong flavor in my experience and hard to capture but this does that nicely. That taste hits you at the beginning before the margarita/agave taste sets in at the end. It is on the tangier side. Still for $10 at 13.9% this is a nice summer drink that might sneak up on you after a couple of glasses.10.0 USD per Bottle

The smell is a wonderful, strong orange/mandarin smell with only a little alcohol burn at the end if you take a deep breath. Thought it must be enhanced but the bottle says “Contains no added aromas or extracts.” The taste is pretty mild compared to the smell but it’s a mild, sweet mandarin flavor. The aftertaste is weird, but not completely off putting (doesn’t come across as mediciney to me). A slight alcohol burn at the end that lingers a bit. Overall not bad and would consider getting again at $20 (there are other flavors to try too). My initial taste was at room temp but this seems like it would be better chilled.20.0 USD per Bottle

This was a nice and sweet amaro and strong. A nice herbal smell (then the alcohol hits your nose). Has a slightly medicine like taste near the end, but the mix of herbal flavors and botanicals with the sweetness helps hide it and that’s what powers through. Some alcohol burn (it is 37%). Slightly thick which gives it a slight syrup like consistency.22.0 USD per Bottle

Shieldaig Islay Single Malt
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed April 12, 2021 (edited November 30, 2022)New to drinking non-flavored whiskey. Has a nice, strong smokey petty smell. The flavor is not bad either, still don’t know how to describe it but that smokiness comes through in the taste. Has a delayed burn though that lingers in the back of the throat.22.0 USD per Bottle -
Total Wines listed it as a Spirit even though the bottle says 100% Agave Wine. Has a margarita like smell but the mango also comes through. The mango comes through in the taste, I get the tanginess of the margarita, and I suppose the other flavor is the agave. For $10, this is pretty good. A nice summer drink if you like margaritas but don’t want to get drunk as fast. If it was more then $10 I probably wouldn’t get it again though (I’m not a big margarita fan).10.0 USD per Bottle

The bad reviews on Total Wines is accurate. The violet color is light unless you pour a lot. It has a strong floral smell but comes off as soapy. The taste at the beginning is pleasant, light floral, and sweet. But the aftertaste just ruins it. It does taste like what I’d imagine soap on my tongue would taste like.12.0 USD per Bottle

Knight Gabriello Amaro Di Toscana
Herbal/Spice Liqueurs — Italy
Reviewed March 21, 2021 (edited April 17, 2021)Has a herbal smell to it but the alcohol comes through if you sniff too long. The taste is nice, not as sweet as the RossoAmaro (red one) but there’s some sweet at the beginning. The herbal flavor is good (notes of mint and anise?? come through). Still has a medicine like aftertaste (a bitterness maybe) that lingers at the end but without the sweetness like the Rosso had.22.0 USD per Bottle -
Right off the bat you’re hit with a strong black licorice smell. Despite the smell the black licorice taste isn’t as pungent as I was expecting. The taste is there at the beginning and midway through but it’s not overwhelming, it doesn’t linger a bit afterwards though. This goes down surprisingly easy and only a slight burn afterwards. I don’t like black licorice but this isn’t all that bad.20.0 USD per Bottle
