On the nose I get some sweet cornbread first and foremost, also butterscotch, oak, and a faint nutty aroma like peanuts. Some mild ethanol was also present, but not overpowering at all. I also at first got some chemical type smell (that I likened to cocaine), but after I drank a little I didn't notice it anymore. Tastes very similar to how it smells. I get sweet cornbread with some peanuts, along with strong butterscotch, and some vanilla and a little oak. Finish is long and smooth with not much heat at all. Overall very sweet finish with some oak. Conclusion: I liked it. It went down easy. With the proof being on the bottom end of the spectrum (90 proof) it wasn't surprising that it went down so easy. The nutty characteristics make it somewhat unique in my experiences. It's somewhat one sided with it's sweetness, which is present throughout the nose, palate, and finish. Sweetness overpowers though and doesn't have the balance to drink a lot of it.

Woodinville Double Barrel Blended Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — Washington, USA
Tasted May 16, 2022Nose is butterscotch with undertones of honey and oak. It is fantastic IMO, smells like candy. Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side, however makes up for it in flavor. Palate is dominated by straight butterscotch, with notes of oak, honey, and tobacco. Finish is long, and is more of the same, filled with sweet butterscotch and oak with some spice and really mild heat, and finally fades into an aftertaste of dry oak. This bourbon tastes like candy and I love it. Unfortunately I don't think I can get a bottle of it around here. I would love to get ahold of another bottle to see if it lives up to this one. What a gem.50.0 USD per Bottle -
For the nose I got vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, and leather Palate is sweet up front, with caramel and honey, with sye spice and oak taking over the finish. I couldn't put my finger on a lot of the flavors going on so I'll have to revisit this again to see what I can pick up on. Definitely an interesting one. Worth a try.50.0 USD per Bottle

Nice full mouthfeel, cornbread, caramel, vanilla and oak. Simple. Sweet caramel dominates the finish accompanied by some marshmellow and oak.. really pleasant finish. I couldnt detect much in the way of complexity and really just got the key bourbon flavors. But it did the basics well and I found this bourbon really enjoyable. Sweet and delicious and goes down smooth at 90 proof. It's the perfect daily drinker.

375ml bottle Fair amount of ethanol on the nose matching the 100 proof. I couldn't pick up a ton on the nose. I did get some burnt brown sugar and vanilla with some toasted marshmellow. Also a faint fruitiness is present in the background with some oak. The oak is much more apparent in taste than it was on the nose. Along with it I get more toasted marshmellow, vanilla, and some citrus fruit. Medium finish consisting mostly of oak and black pepper. Overall it was pretty decent. While the flavors didn't seem overly complex they did pack a decent flavor punch. I'd say that it seems pretty average but is a solid choice none the less.

Nose has more heat than expected given the proof. Oak is probably the most prominent note. Also get some vanilla, little sweet caramel, along with orange zest. Overall not too interesting imo. Palate is sort of a sticky mouthfeel but not in a way that I enjoyed. As with the nose, I get a lot of citrus fruit along with oak and caramel. Finish seemed pretty long and featured oak and also some orangey citrus fruit, but in a slightly medicinal way. Conclusion Meh I expected more for 40 bucks honestly. Other whiskeys in this price point are much more enjoyable to me. It also had more heat than expected for only 88 proof. Overall the flavor profile seemed a little boring and focused mostly on oak and citrus fruit. Probably wouldn't buy again.40.0 USD per Bottle

Nose: fruity, maraschino cherry, little tobacco, some oak, caramel, red apple, orange, toasted marshmellow, little vanilla Taste: sweet marachino cherry, oak, apple, vanilla, red lifesavers and orange on the back end Finish is a medium oaky finish with cherry notes and some butterscotch sweetness. Really pleasant Conclusion very fruit forward IMO, tastes "bright" with cherry and orange, with a medium oaky finish that is pleasant. Goes down easy.28.0 USD per Bottle

Nose is mainly honey and smoke for me. For the palate I get apple juice up front, and then the peat hits midpalate. Don't drink a lot of scotch so the peat overtakes the flavor profile for me, but admittedly is probably not excessive, especially for those that drink scotch regularly. Finish is honey with a nuttiness along with it, with a fair amount of smoke, which all dissipates pretty quickly for a very short finish. Most notable thing about this is that it's got virtually no heat at all. Not on the nose, not on the finish, just nowhere. It's certainly smooth.200.0 USD per Bottle

6oz sample given to me as a gift. Nose Wood, little butterscotch, fresh jalapeños, fresh baked bread, little rye spice Palate Fresh jalapeño peppers, dried fruits Finish Spice, fresh jalapenos, lingering sweetness, some fruit Conclusion Very enjoyable, not sure if the fresh pepper taste that I primarily got was specific to this whiskey or a general rye flavor, but it was unique (to me) and enjoyable. I felt that overall there was a nice balance of rye/pepper spice to sweetness that worked really well. Would definitely recommend this one.

Nose Dry, almonds Taste Feels much dryer than some other bourbons. Tastes like toasted almonds. oak , sawdust, little bit of Butterscotch. Finish Very smooth, barely any finish. Leaves a unique nutty taste in the mouth. Conclusion Not unpleasant, very unique. 80 proof so goes down easy just like all basil Hayden. Nutty profile is what I'm left thinking about would definitely revisit again to see if my thoughts change.50.0 USD per Bottle
