Kings County Peated Bourbon
Bourbon — New York, USA
Reviewed October 26, 2019 (edited March 27, 2020)A very interesting release from King's County. The nose is very misleading; pure maple with a little honey. The taste, however, is quite remarkable. Rather aggressive upfront, it gives way to a beautiful blend of peat and maple, with hints of vanilla. Neither the peat nor the maple overpower your tongue. The finish is nice and long, a fresh apple pie, smoked by maple wood. A good introduction into the world of peat, but also easily enjoyed by fans of peat.72.99 USD per Bottle -
Absolutely incredible. As per usual, Hibiki created another masterpiece of a whiskey. The nose was a little underwhelming, faint sherry notes could be picked out from the very heavy scent of oak. The taste is almost the exact opposite of the nose; lots of sherry, honey, a slight hint of oak, and some herbaceous notes. Very smooth, with just a hint of heat, it has a nice lingering taste of honey and oak. If you find it, buy it.77.0 USD per Bottle

Corsair Triple Smoke American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed May 4, 2019 (edited August 3, 2020)For the price, this is worth every cent. The peat-smoked barley coats the inside of your mouth, giving a tight mouthfeel. The cherry wood is very pronounced in this bottle, overpowering the beechwood in most sips. You'll want to be in the mood for a good cherry taste before sipping this... However, the flavors of honey, malted barley, and caramel make this still very much enjoyable on any given day.35.99 USD per Bottle -
Albeit only one of the three casks (the youngest one, too!) was a rum cask, it absolutely shines through to make it's presence known. The nose (keep in mind, it's allergy season with an all-time-high pollen count) was rather muted and lacked any distinct scents, which I found rather surprising. The taste was incredible. A little hot in the mouth at first, it quickly gives way to some dark fruit flavors, chocolate-covered oranges, honey, and a hint of brown sugar and cooking spices. Heating back up as it goes down, the taste of honey becomes more and more prevalent. If you find a bottle, buy it.107.99 USD per Bottle
