Soft, mild, round. Little bit of salt on the front of the palate

I don’t find this to be anything I’d go out of my way for. Notes of tea and cola on the nose pretty much the same on the pallet. A light sweetness with barely there caramel. Very approachable as a starter whiskey. Not some thing that you need to stretch to find a definition or description for

HEAVY. Peppery Tequila, smoked meats, BBQ, overripe peach. And that’s just the nose. On the pallet, smoke, leather, light and round. Like being hit with a smoked ham.

A little young with a sharp, almost butter caramel up front. Not bad at all on an ice cube.

This has a short, dry finish to it. Slightly dark caramel with a hint of apple juice. A little thin at first. No lasting impression for me though. This will likely drink better meat, I’m typically a one cube guy. The cask strength give it a bit of a kick. This is listed as “Exclusively Selected by Nugget Market”

Emergency Old Fashioned after saying goodbye to a 13y/o friend (pet). A toast to my little friend. Was given this bottle for my 50th BDay. Was not initially impressed, but as I sip into it more it settles in and gets comfy, regardless of what I want. Just like my little friend. Well worth a try. Makes an excellent Old Fashioned.

I’m not sure I like this one. Soft, round, and almost creamy. While not a terrible bourbon it just doesn’t have the…oomph that I want.

Damned Good bang for the buck. At this price point it could easily become a “daily driver”.

There’s a heavy nuttiness lurking beneath the initial caramel. It needs some time in the glass cozying up to an ice cube to really bring it out. It’s got a heavier flavor and feel than expected and the oak is just in front of the nuttiness on taste, but it doesn’t stick around. The nuttiness clobbers it quickly.
