Trader Joe's Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Rum Cask Finish
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 20, 2020Sweet syrupy aroma. Definitely the rum. Has a well balanced flavor with sugar cane sweetness. Medium body medium tail, really not bad. A good budget choice if you like rum casked scotches. -
Jameson 18 Year Limited Reserve
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed October 15, 2020 (edited October 16, 2020)Smells amazing. Grass and wood. Sweet grassy flavor, with a good kick hitting right after. Tastes exactly how you'd expect an Irish to, but with more power, which I like. -
Dry Fly Straight Triticale
Other Whiskey — Washington , USA
Reviewed October 15, 2020 (edited October 16, 2020)Super light sweet aroma. Plain sugar flavor, maybe cane sugar? Very light flavor, wood and maybe some wheat or rye. Thin body, short finish, a little young tasting. -
Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch Whiskey (Sourced Whiskey)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2020 (edited November 4, 2020)Light aroma, mostly oak. Bready wheat flavor mixed in with the wood, medium body and richness. To me, a quintessential American whiskey. -
Woodinville Straight Bourbon Port Cask Finish
Bourbon — Washington, USA
Reviewed September 28, 2020 (edited March 1, 2022)Gorgeous color, rich complex smell. A little smoother to me than the flagship, and the port gives a wonderful complex wine aftertaste that lingers. Almost a medicinal flavor but in a pleasant way, maybe some tannins made it through. Medium body. Lovely. If you can spare a bit in a cocktail it makes a great Boulevardier.Woodinville Whiskey Co. -
Woodinville Double Barrel Blended Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — Washington, USA
Reviewed September 28, 2020 (edited September 29, 2020)Aroma is a mixture of vanilla and berries. Amazing smell like all Woodinvilles, smells super creamy. Goes down crazy smooth, barely any burn at all. Tastes as creamy as it smells, this would be an amazing summer sip or choice for sweeter drinkers. Creaminess gives it a rich tail. Tastes like dessert.Woodinville Whiskey Co. -
Smells light and woody. There's a sweetness there too that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe honey or pear. Wood dominates the palate, a nice sharp oak. Honey sweetness shows up on the tail, and a medium body rounds it out well. Flavors and proof taste a little intense but I like it.Adrift Distillers
