Stranahan's Snowflake
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed October 10, 2019 (edited December 7, 2019)Hoo boy there's a whole lot going on here. The different woods shine through, some of them pretty dark. Sherry sweet like their Sherry cask, but way more complex and rich. I love it.Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey -
Stranahan's Sherry Cask
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed October 10, 2019 (edited April 15, 2024)Super sweet Sherry notes, in the flavor and in the tail. It's super good and I taste complexity, but the Sherry kinda steamrolls everything else. Deep wood complexity under the flavor. A good dessert whiskey.Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey -
Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey (Discontinued)
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed October 10, 2019 (edited March 6, 2020)Honey on the nose, maybe some malt. Super strong flavor, lots of honey and oak. Graham cracker and honey on the tail. Good body. With some water more vanilla and oak shines.Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey -
Stranahan's Diamond Peak (old recipe)
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed October 10, 2019 (edited December 20, 2020)Dark caramel and molasses on the nose. Great subtle spice between those flavors on the tongue. Super smooth, rich body. Magnificent. Caramel sticks around for the tail, but it's not too sweet at all.Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey -
Templeton Rye 4 Year
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Iowa), USA
Reviewed October 10, 2019 (edited October 15, 2019)Great spice flavor, but kind of a bright flavor underneath that tastes a little off or artificial. Good body and tail, good spice, but maybe would do better in cocktail.Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) -
Four Roses Limited Edition Bourbon Elliott's Select (2016)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 10, 2019Very smooth and spicy, the oak flavor dominates the whole way through. Vanilla as well, but the wood overpowers it. Richness gives a long tail that the oak rides on as well. Super fiery, love it.The Whisky Bar
