Siete Leguas Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed August 28, 2021 -
A well balanced and perfectly aged añejo. Elegant, refined, sophisticated with unique and rich flavors of cooked agave, vanilla and caramel on the nose. Harmonious agave and bourbon barrel spice notes on the palate. I do pick up the toasted oak and vanilla caramel with some spice, orange and raisins. The finish is long and smooth. The natural subtle agave sweetness balances out at the end revealing a hint more of bourbon barrel wood spice, toasted oak and cooked agave. Overall, this tastes like a fine aged tequila (not syrupy sweet or cloying) and at $180 it’s well worth it. Bought at Third Base Market and Spirits.180.0 USD per Bottle

Okay, it’s good, it’s actually great tasting bourbon. Semi-sweet, it’s deliciously spicy, and even crisp and refreshing at times. Vanilla, caramel, a little oak and some citrus. Finish is medium at most, spicy and somewhat drying, leave me wanting more sooner than I should. Poured 2oz with a tiny splash of water. I really enjoy it, but to me, it’s simply not a good value at this price. Eagle Rare 10y is more worthy of a $200 price tag and if the house was on fire and I can only save one bottle of bourbon, Eagle Rare is coming with me. But price aside, this is a great top shelf bourbon and I’m happy to add it to my collection.200.0 USD per Bottle

Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed August 15, 2021 (edited September 24, 2022)This to me, the flavor and finish take on a style more like a Bourbon Whiskey rather than a typical Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey. However, on the nose, there’s no mistaking that this is a Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Jack Daniel’s pumps out large quantities of whiskey every year to satisfy the consumer which can mean lower quality whiskey; but this definitely is a quality whiskey that they make strictly for the customer (not the consumer, there is a difference). This is the best Jack Daniel’s whiskey I’ve had and as a customer, I really appreciate it. Although pricey it’s worth-it to me as a once in a while sipping whiskey with a splash of water or have it Frank’s way (three rocks, two fingers, one splash of water). With the packaging and the nice looking bottle, this makes a beautiful gift as well.140.0 USD per Bottle -
Glen Scotia 15 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed August 4, 2021 (edited October 2, 2021)Very flavorful and complex speyside/Highland style aroma on the nose but with sweet ripe fruit, vanilla, salted caramel and savory, spicy peaty smokiness on the palate. I also get beautiful citrusy/sherry notes on the nose and palate. Med/long finish of oak, cacao and spice. For me, because of the savory and peat smoke elements, this one is best neat with little to no water added.70.0 USD per Bottle -
Glenlivet 18 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 3, 2021 (edited December 29, 2021)At 43% abv, A great value and a fantastic single malt! Definitely worth buying. The new version at only 40% abv, is mediocre with noticeable decline in taste and finish and not worth owning a bottle.120.0 USD per Bottle -

Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed July 29, 2021 (edited September 20, 2021)Yep, This tastes like I thought it would, a young speyside single malt. Really easy drinking, delicate, not really too exciting but nice and friendly. Apple/pear, orange, vanilla, caramel, lite nuttiness, spice. Can’t really say anything bad about it. If you’re a fan of William Grant & Sons whisky’s then you should like this.32.0 USD per Bottle
