Nose starts off with baking spices with a hint of caramel before moving to vanilla. The nose ends with an ethanol aroma. The first note to hit the palate is oak, followed by brown sugar and vanilla. Flavors are muted and subtle. The finish is smooth and quite short. I’m a big fan of BT expressions and it’s not bad, but there is not a whole lot going on from nose to finish.

Nose is very complex, starting with caramel, then a hint of chocolate, before transitioning to stronger notes of dark fruits, rye, and ending with brown sugar. The rye and brown sugar carry through the palate, which is not as layered as the nose. The finish is slightly thin and noticeably smooth compared to other bourbons at its proof point. This is a very good bourbon. Somewhat disappointed by lack of complexity on the palate, but that’s the only negative.

Store Pick. Nose starts with vanilla, moving to caramel and a hint of butterscotch. Palate- Predominately caramel notes with some cinnamon....mouthfeel is thin Finish is fairly short. Not a great bourbon, but not bad... particularly for the price.

Nose begins with cinnamon, then transitions to heavy banana notes, before ending notes of brown sugar, Palate is simple, with wheat notes dominating. Finish is quite long and smooth with simple wheat notes carrying through. While not complex, this is an enjoyable pour.

This is a very good bourbon. Nose features floral notes giving way to cinnamon, apple, and a little bit of vanilla. Mouth feel is slightly thinner than expected, with the palate beginning with strong oak and then moving to chocolate. Finish is quite smooth, beginning with chocolate before transitioning to maple syrup and vanilla notes. Medium-length finish. For the price, this is one of my faves.

The first scent which hits the nose is apple, followed by caramel and to a lesser extent vanilla. Palate - Red-hots is the first and by far strongest note Finish - A slightly biting, medium-length finish. Caramel comes through at the end. The youth is evident in this bourbon, but it has a strong profile for one only aged four years.

Nose is of vanilla with a hint of baking spices. Upon tasting, heavy notes of leather. Finish is definitely smooth, not lingering long. This bourbon is better than many at $30, just don’t expect a lot of complexity.

Nose is of brown sugar. Cinnamon gives way to significant cherry notes. Is a good bourbon neat. A smooth, lingering finish.
