This brand (Sagamore Rye) is one of my favorite Rye's. The barrel strength is one of my favorite bottles and among the most underrated bottles on the market. This is good. It's the baby brother of that item. Great flavor, classic Sagamore. Just the body and finish are toned down. Walk to buy this. Run to buy the barrel strength.

I actually drink more ECBP than this expression. Had an opportunity to sit and enjoy this Small Batch version and I was really delighted. I'd say a classic mid-90's proof Bourbon. Lots of caramel with a great deal of fruit notes. A touch sweet, but a couple drops of water helps with some increase spice. Almost a cracker note on the finish. More depth and intrigue vs Woodford or Maker's. I really did enjoy

This was a beautiful Bourbon and one I'm blessed to have enjoyed. Bottles no longer available.. Or else I'd have one. Great depth & complexity. 129 proof that brings depth and changes in the glass as you make your way through.

I've toyed with buying this bottle several times. Frankly, glad I didn't. My experience at Preservation is two fold. Their lower proof items are watery and uninspired. The full proof items are worth a visit. Here I get coconut, vanilla, mint & black pepper. But overall, watery with a finish that was lacking. Especially for an 8 year Rye. We've all over watered our glass once or twice and there is no going back. Well, that's this whole bottle.

Vanilla & caramel dominate with good spice on the palate. More toasty after the water is added. Easy drinking and a bottle I'm pleased to have added to the collection

Was not my jam. Not interesting in the front and falls off the table at the end. Some caramel, vanilla & Willett spice, but not much complexity.

Seemed a bit hot for the proof. Quite spicy, even for a Willett product. Lots of cinnamon & clove I enjoy high proof, but this seems a touch out of balance for me.

Fairly sweet with the typical Willett funky flavor. There isn't much finish here. I'll stick with Noah's Mill for my liking

Sweet vanilla & caramel. Up front nice, but falls off the table with no finish to speak of.

Medicinal & Hot. Not too much appealing here
