Nose: Starts with strong sweet peat, smoked meat ,slight ashiness, immediately followed by orange, sweet peach, grape jelly, sweet notes of fresh jasmine. Love it! Very balanced peat with fresh sweetnes from wine and spiciness from rye casks. Taste: Stars with smoked marshmallow sweetness, fresh grape fruit, pineapple , then it changed to more savory notes with herbal notes of dill, white peppercorn, the finish is long with mint and candies orange chocolate. I didn't like it as much after adding tea spoon of water. It is still nice but ashy notes became more dominant and it lost some of it herbal notes. However, the finish changed to be sweeter and more wine alike which I found very interesting. Conclusion: I think it is one of the best smoky whisky I've tried. Smoke barley, wine and rye cask finishes all play in harmony and create very balanced expirience. It was almost like mixing Ardbeg Uigeadail with Glencadam 10 and adding some grapefruit notes.Frankfurt

9 Nose First it immediately hits with spice notes of cinnamon, clove. The Orange Marmelade, baked peach and marcipann following immediately after the spice. It ends with warm woody notes, vanilla and coconut. There was also some sour note that I think was coming as a result of relatively young spirit that I didn't like much. Taste It is definitely spicy, without a water has a definite bite. The palate develops quite quickly, backing spice, dry dark fruits, dark chocolate, not too sweet. The finish is dry and on a shorter side. It feels a bit thin. It definitely benefited from water. Became more tamed, toffy sweetness and fruit notes become more prominent. The oakines and acidity subsided and the finish became even more chocolate. Overall not a bad whisky. It felt a bit unbalanced to me, perhaps not designed for my taste. Definitely well made whisky, recommended to people who like bold and spicy whisky profile.

That Boutique-y Whiskey Company Longmore 10 Year (Batch 3)
Single Malt — Scotland
Reviewed December 8, 2021Nose I know that it's a speyside whisky but I am getting some of medicinal iodine notes often typical for some of coastal distilleries, some leather polish , and then of course lots of honey and floral notes, some ginger and vanilla Taste Sweet, oily mouthfeel, ginger honey comes through, a bit of papaya fruitiness not much flavour complexity . The funky notes are also detectable on the palate but not as obvious as on the nose. Dry peppery finish -
Glen Elgin 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 29, 2021 (edited August 21, 2022)I am drinking batch 5 by TBWC 49.1% vol Nose Starts Ripe fresh pear, lemon zest, floral honey, transition to more of mandarin , some banana, sugar icing, slight vanilla and a bit of funk. Palate Starts zesty and sweet, then pears and apples appear, to be followed by butter almond cookies and oaky a medium finish on a dry side , cinnamon, clove. After adding a bit of water I am getting more butter cookie and almond, maybe a bit of milk chocolate. I actually preferred it without water. Nice whisky but nothing really special. I'd enjoy drinking if offered but wouldn't buy myself -
Nose When the bottle was opened for the first time the smell of smoked ham and burnt rubber filed the room. After sitting a bit in a glass I started to get notes of burnt orange and rains, maybe pear as well followed by smoked meat smells. Then when my nose got used to smoky notes I discovered a lemon tart with icing sugar on it. What an exciting journey! Palate With very strong peat, like drinking a water with fresh charcoal in it. Then sweatnes comes a rape citrus fruit sweatnes comes along with savory ham. Another sip and it gets candy sweat and finishes with dark chocolate notes spiced with nutmeg and cloves Finish Long finish starts sweet, dark chocolate and candied and getting drier peppery and ashy. Really complex whisky. It has so many layers, it starts as very definite Laphroaig with smokiness in your face and then started to show a lot of more complex notes while keeping its character in background. Definitely my favourite Laphroaig and in top 5 of my favourite peated whisky.

Nose Light iodine, red apple, mandarin orange, field flowers, strong vanilla, icing sugar and molasses Taste Oily, sweet, very malty, light peat, some ashy notes, nutmeg, all spice, white pepper, lemon notes Finish Very long and lasting, pepper, all spice, light camp fire notes Really like this whisky. It definitely more mellow then 10 years old and has more complexity to it albeit the flavour notes more subtle and less in your face compared to 10

Nose Fresh cut grass and Hay, cinnamon, dried plums, herbal medicinal cabinet, wet wood Taste Starts with sharp burn that quickly disappear and give space to warm fall flavours with young oak character l: strong cinnamon with pear, then liquorice is becoming dominant welcoming transition to medicinal notes Finish Long and dry finish with dry dark fruits, cinnamon and liquorice I think this an amazing gin that is good for sipping or old fashioned. It definitely has a punch and more aggressive then whisky or rum but the spiciness it can deliver worth it.

Nose Strong nose with Vanilla very dominant , green apples, cloves then sweet pineapple some citrus Taste Starts fruity and honey sweet and develops to bitter chocolate and vanilla ice cream , cherry. A bit of peppery spice and swiftness is on more dominant side After some water notes of dry fruit comes up and the finish is getting less dry with strong cacao. I felt it getting more spicy with pepper and corriander Finish Very oily, sharper long finish when whisky keeps developing Final Thoughts Great whisky for people who likes it on sweeter side. Definitely lots of complexity with tropical fruits and level of sweeetnes.
