This is solid juice for being younger and from a new distillery. There’s enough flavor to really enjoy neat, safe to assume would make awesome cocktails. There’s a softness that’s present with your classic bourbon flavors topped off with enough spice to keep you coming back. Plenty of finish too. For the price, this is a no brainer. Definitely want to try some of their single barrels I’ve seen recently this is batched with two different mash bills.

There’s a lot going on here. Definitely bigger for what I was expecting of a Tennessee whiskey. Very complex from nose to finish. Nutty, candied sugars, fruity, spicy, and clean. Would like more of a mouth feel but that’s a personal preference since this is very rich in flavor. For a 13 year old bottled in bond whiskey for around $40, really hard to argue about this one. Was totally skeptical since it won Whiskey Advocate Whiskey of the Year. Totally impressed with this Dickel!

(34 months age statement, first bourbon release from Castle & Key Distillery for Pinhook) Rich and spicy. The nose is very bright and inviting while the taste is full with a medium length finish. A classic bourbon with a youthful approach. Very nice!

Oaky, oaky, oaky. Dark brown sugars. Rich and big. A cheaper version of Noah’s Mill but just as good?!

Very smooth for the proof. Wish I knew more about the distilling process to better understand the consistent smoothness of all OF product. There’s enough complexity to keep you coming back and with a medium finish this is a very fun Bourbon without a doubt. Grab a bottle of 1910 and experiment with your own 1915 blend. Sorry, mingle.

Reeses Pieces all day on the nose. Doesn’t fall off too much from that after the initial sip. I love me some Booker’s!! The more I buy these the more I can appreciate the nuances present while still maintains that big, rich, flavor profile Booker’s is known for. Simply awesome stuff!

(Purchased a 350ml for the price listed) I’m again not blown away from the hype machine that is Buffalo Trace. Yea they make world class juice, but this single barrel isn’t mind blowing. Glad I purchased the mini because I still would prefer a handful of other whiskies you can purchase regularly. As far as tasting notes, it tastes like bourbon. Oak spice, not that sweet, not too far off from EHT small batch.

Really really good! Super sweet but the balance for being put into a barrel again is awesome. Not too oaky. Interesting dark brown sugar flavors like maple, vanilla, toffee. A no brainer for the collection.

Really like this one. Finish is short but it’s clearly young. With that being said there’s a lot of fruity, floral notes with a touch of soft spice. Pretty awesome for the age!

A bigger, lusher, richer, bourbon that can be scooped up any day of the week. For now. No brainer if you enjoy a bigger bourbon.
