Tastes

Nose: Vanilla, green fruit (pear, apple) Palate: Dry, cocoa, fruit not nearly as prominent as on the nose but hits lightly at the back. Finish: Short-to-medium. True to palate.

Not as fruity up front as the single barrel OBSV. Vanilla, baking spice. Drying, herbal finish.

Full nose. Deep red fruit, cherry, citrus. Spicier on the palate than the nose. Pleasant, warming finish lasts a while, really stepping things up from the small batch and entry level offerings.

Red fruit, vanilla, oak, baking spice. Short finish.

Corn, herbal/licorice, baking spice. Thin and short.

Nose is sweet, even fruit forward for a rye. Orange, citrus, hint of licorice/anise, not overly spicy. Palate adds some nuttiness, hint of spearmint towards rhe back end. Sweet, pleasant amount of spice, balanced and not overwhelming. Better than their standard bourbon offering by a decent amount.

Nose: Corn, butterscotch. Sip is very oak forward, some vanilla and baking spice, but predominantly dry oak. Drinks hotter than its 100 proof, with both heat and spice increasing as the sip goes on. Hint of dark fruit on the finish, cherry, or dark berry. Overall, drinks young and crafty.

Nose: Fruit-forward. Some dark fruit… cherry? Also banana. Oak and tobacco. Palate: Not nearly as fruity as the nose. Spicy - allspice, dash of pepper. Butterscotch. Finish: Medium and warming. Pleasant.

Nose: Mostly baking spice. Palate: Oak, nutmeg, toffee, chocolate, pecan. Buttery mouthfeel. Sweet, but not much fruit. Finish: Short-to-medium, true to palate.

Flat and uninteresting. Oak notes and a little bit of spice, but no legs lets you know what you’re in for. No body, thin mouthfeel. Just excessive softness throughout, until the very back end when a light spice tingle surfaces… but its too little, too late.
