    Honey, vanilla, raisins. Rich and malty with a sherry oak finish. Pure and simple The Balvenie does it right.

    Rich and creamy. Dried fruits. Peaty florals. Lightly smoked wood. A good dram, but somewhat forgettable for an 18.

    Nice and sweet, light on the spice. A faint (and I mean faint) touch of sea salt, apple, pear, and honey. A rich and malty finish. A great intro to the Clynelish brand.

    Simple and underwhelming. Certainly not bad, but nothing special. Sweet, semi-fruity, and laced with vanilla. An easy dram to drink, but easily forgettable.

    Good nose - grainy cereal notes, sharp citrus, baked bread, and ripe vanilla bean. Good palate, mirroring the nose, if not just a little spicy, and slightly bitter on the finish.

    Velvety smooth, and delightfully refined. Like the 12, hints of cereal, baked bread and vanilla bean. Chocolate notes, subtle fruits and a malty finish. What it lacks in complexity it makes up for in character. Deanston is here to stay.

    Level-headed, not overly peated. A good bourbon balance with light vanillas, and hints of salted licorice. A nice, easy, straight across smoke. (JV)

    Hints of bourbon, oak, fruits and vanilla. Capped by a light spice and rich texture, the Occy 12 is a solid dram. Sláinte!
