A- Amber +2, low viscosity N- typical Macallan nose, sweet ( honey, white chocolate, vanilla, toffee) fruity (oranges, plums, apricots, raisins), malted barley, walnuts, wet oak P- sweet-oaky spicy arrival, full, rich, oily, sweet ( milk shake chocolate, honey, toffee), fruity ( orange zest, raisins, plums, apricots), rum cake, walnuts, wet oak F- short to medium finish, sweet-fruity-oaky aftertaste C- nice and smooth dram not sure if it’s worth the price I believe you can find better and more complex options for this price but again it’s a Macallan and it’s delicious153.0 USD per Bottle

Reviewed December 27, 2022 (edited August 8, 2023)A- Amber +2, high viscosity N- feinty, sweaty ( did I order a cheese platter?) , yeasty ( again did I also order a meat platter ?) wow and I am just getting starting with this one and in the back end hints of honey and vanilla, literally I am nosing a charcuterie platter P- sweaty/ yeasty arrival, cheese and prosciutto everywhere, full, rich, coating, sweet ( honey, vanilla), briny, salty, dry oak F- medium- long finish, sweaty- yeasty- sweet aftertaste C- wow this is a first for me, glad that I tried this one way advance in my whiskey journey, complex profile but weird, dirty, good and different. Please if you are starting your journey do not start with this dram!73.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed December 27, 2022 (edited December 28, 2022)A- amber +2,medium viscosity N- w/water: sweet ( honey, vanilla, caramel, cotton sugar) fruity ( sultanas, red apples, pears, peach) barley, hint of vinegar, wet oak P- w/water: sweet spicy arrival ( balanced) I guess I added the right amount of spring water this time ( last pour was bit sweet and bland for me), full, rich, oily, sweetness is highly present ( honey, caramel, vanilla, sugar candy) fruity ( strawberry, sultanas, red apples, peach), malted barley, walnuts, oaky F- long finish, sweet- fruity-nutty aftertaste C- good dram BUT was expecting a bit more excitement, a perfect dram for dessert pairing so if you don't like this type of profile spend your money somewhere else , wondering if Ralfy reviewed/rated this bottle?125.0 USD per Bottle -
Tobermory 2007 12 Year Port Pipe Finish

Reviewed December 8, 2022 (edited December 9, 2022)A- amber +2, high viscosity N- w/water: Sweet ( Honey, vanilla , caramel, maple syrup, burnt sugar, milk chocolate) fruity (raisins, plums, baked apples), barley, walnuts P- w/water: amazing sweet spicy arrival, full, oily, coating, sweet ( honey, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, maple syrup) is like having a milk smoothie with all ingredients just mentioned, fruity ( plums, apricots, baked apples, raisins in the back end), walnuts, wet oak F- long pleasant finish, sweet-fruity-nutty after taste that keeps lingering around C- WOW!!!! it's a good dram, the sweetness from the port pipe finish is really good and perfectly balanced, it's so pleasant that I usually come back to this one very often, I remembered trying the Glenallachie 13 YO port pipe single cask (ralfy's bottle) after this one and the sweetness from the Glenallachie was a bit unpleasant compared to this one that I feel is perfectly balanced, will post my impressions soon on the Glenallachie86.0 USD per Bottle -
Glencadam 15 white port cask finish

Reviewed November 22, 2022 (edited November 23, 2022)A- amber +1, low viscosity N- sweet ( honey, vanilla) fruity ( mango, pineapple, green apples, sultanas, tangerines) , vinegar, floral P- sweet-fruity arrival (gentle but yummy), full, rich, mango, pineapple, green apples, sultanas, tangerines, strawberries, honey, vanilla, barley, wet oak F- medium finish, sweet-fruity aftertaste C- I was not expecting this, Glencadam Reserva de Porto Branco was distilled in 2006 and matured initially in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being finished in White Port barrels sourced from Portugal. The White Port barrels perfectly complement this Malt adding depth and complexity, the amount of fruits lingering around is impressive with this one, delicious and fresh. -
Deanston 12 Year Old 2008 Oloroso Cask Matured

Reviewed November 21, 2022 (edited July 27, 2023)A- amber +2, high viscosity N- w/water: sweet ( chocolate, honey, caramel, burnt sugar), dark fruits ( raisins, plums, apricots, dark berries), barley, wet oak P- w/water: yummy sweet-Woody spicy arrival, full, rich, oily, sweet ( brûlée, caramel, chocolate, maple syrup, honey ) fruity ( plums, raisins, apricots), walnuts, dry oak F- medium to long finish, sweet-oaky-nutty aftertaste C- Nice Sherry bomb!!! This Deanston 12 year old was distilled back in 2008 and filled into Oloroso sherry casks, nice spirit that’s thick with complex sweetness, including dried fruit and rich honey notes. I recommend! -
Glenfarclas 17 Year

Reviewed October 11, 2022 (edited October 13, 2022)A- amber +1, high viscosity N- licorice, cereal, sweet (caramel, brûlée, vanilla, Mik chocolate), fruity ( dark berries, plums, apricots), wet oak P- light cereal spicy arrival, full, rich, oily, licorice, sweet ( brûlée, milk chocolate) fruity ( dark berries, plums), walnuts, wet oak F- short to medium finish, cereal-sweet-oaky aftertaste C- good entry level dram with a gentle straight forward approach, not complex but yummy, be aware that price varies a lot depending on the market so do your research -

Reviewed October 6, 2022 (edited August 8, 2023)A- amber +2, high viscosity N- sweet (honey, toffee, milk chocolate, brûlée) fruity (orange, raisins, plums, apricots), barley, wet oak P- elegant spicy arrival, full, rich, oily, sweet ( Milk chocolate, caramel, cream brûlée, vanilla), licorice, fruity (oranges all over the place, raisins, plums), walnuts, barley, wet oak F- medium to long finish, sweet-fruity- oaky aftertaste ( chocolate and oranges still lingering ) C- ok somehow I feel I'm going to get some push back from my fellow distillers here, I'm not a Macallan fan because I believe they are overpriced and I believe there are better options out there with good fair market value BUT this one at this ABV it's good, elegant, smooth and tasty -
Glenlivet 18 Year Batch Reserve

Reviewed September 30, 2022 (edited December 17, 2022)A- amber +1, high viscosity N- typical glenlivet nose, seltzer, sweet (honey, vanilla, caramel) fruity (red apples, pears, sultanas, tangerines), cereal, wet oak P- light spicy arrival, half rich, half full, oily, sweet ( honey, vanilla, caramel), fruity ( tangerines, red apples, sultanas), barley malt, the oak is more prominent in the palate than in the nose F- short to medium, sweet-cereal-oaky aftertaste C- good entry level dram ( not my cup of tea) but it’s a safe profile especially if you are starting your whisky journey -
Glen Garioch 1999 Red Wine Matured, 19yo

Reviewed September 27, 2022 (edited September 28, 2022)A- amber +2, high viscosity N- Dark fruits ( raisins, plums, dark berries) acetone, sweet ( brûlée, chocolate, toffee), waxy, wet oak P- oaky/fruity pleasant spicy arrival, full, rich, oily, again dark fruits (raisins, dried fruits, plums), sweet (chocolate, toffee, burned sugar), musty, liquorice F- medium to long finish, sweet-fruity-oaky aftertaste C - took me a while to decipher this one it's weird but in a good way specially that MUSTY creamy glen garioch touch that I love, I am a fan of glen garioch this is my second bottle (I've finished the 15 YO sherry cask matured) and looking forward to try the chapter series
