One of the better offerings from Corby Distillers, but if you can't abide sweetness, steer clear. You'd have a hard time finding another whiskey this good for the same price. Sweet citrus fruit, raisin and toffee give way to flares of Christmas spices, peppery heat and smooth vanilla.

This scotch resides on the dividing line between good and excellent (though, the cask strength version is truly excellent). Fruit, raisin and honey dominate the nose with a hint of calvados and apple blossom. Citrus peel and nutty barly present themselves along with the raisin and honey fade into an oaked vanilla finish.

Sweet and nutty with a gorgeously gentle salty peat wash. An excellent highlander for rookies to cut thier teeth on.

Having gone through several bottles of this, I have to wonder why the Distiller review doesn't mention the big bold banana and nutmeg notes on the nose and the finish. Makes me wonder if they actually tried it as this has been consistent across all batches for years.

Not Highland Parks greatest effort, but definitely worthy of the name. Intense peat with a touch of iodine. The peat fades into apple and butter on the tongue with a smokey finish.

Definitely deserves more than the pathetic 85 point score that the reviewer gave it. Even then, Masterson's straight rye puts this delightful take on a single grain to shame.

This is probably my favorite bourbon of the hundreds that I have tried. Loads of cinnamon and nutmeg with a melange of toasted cereal grain on the nose. The body is rich and chewy with the chai spices showing through and finishing with an vanilla and bitter chocolate finish.
