Tastes

Nose- Sweet grain notes with a hint of lemon. Body- Cotton candy, raw peanut, and fresh grass Finish- Fresh grass predominates. Very easy to start but carries a punch in the finish. 3.5 stars Enjoyed at Nantahala Brewing.

Nose- Vanilla, very sweet with an herbal hint Body- Candy sweet grain notes gives way to rye spice and a dark chocolate bitterness Finish- Sweet straw. Very nice. This is really good! Had at Nantahala Brewing after a great day of fishing with Craig and Travis.

Nose- Orange citrus and oak. Body- Rich sweet tea and citrus give way to earthy notes of leather and a hint of raw peanuts. The body is spicy all the way through from beginning to end. Finish- Hot and long with black pepper and anise. Orange peel comes through minutes later. Good when you want a hot, spicy pour.

Nose- Brown sugar and a hint of green apple Body- The high rye definitely comes through with baking spices,pepper, and then cinnamon. Starts really sweet and then turns very spicy. Finish- Black pepper and mint. This is a very complex, rye forward four rose rendition. Good but not for everyday.

Nose- Raw peanut,grass and a hint of mint. Body- Raw peanut notes with dark chocolate and brown sugar. Sweet overall. Finish- Mocha and a hint of cinnamon. Pretty good.

Nose- Burnt brown sugar Body- Sweet at first with brown sugar and caramel. This then becomes more hot into the finish with a black pepper mouth feel. Finish- The caramel flavor comes through more here. Really similar to the OWA.

Cotton candy sweet, smooth, but like most Canadian whiskey... a bit thin.

Nose- Sweet grass and grain. Reminds me of Irish whiskey. Body- really easy on the tongue with vanilla and honeysuckle following by grass and raw peanuts. Finish- the grass continues into a hint of lemon zest. Very good!

Nose- brown sugar green apple! Body- caramel gives way to brown sugar and a hint of cinnamon Finish- tingly green apple returns in the medium finish This is by far my favorite wheated bourbon so far. Cheers Patrick. Thanks for the pour and a great day on the Holston.

Nose- Vanilla Body- Very light. Vanilla with a bit of sour citrus and wood Finish- pretty short and simple, sweet, vanilla Not a bad bourbon for the price. Really light though.
