Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 21, 2022Nose: Couldn't feel the sherry at first, but at the second pour, the sherry notes were quite present. (Maybe because it was the first pour, or maybe because my nose wasn't working well idk) Has a strong bourbon note mixed to it as well. Quite floral too Mouth: Very woody & spicy compared to your average highland single malt, due to the bourbon cask aging, and citrusy, similar to that of the signature Glenmorangie 10Y) that goes along well with the floral notes. Also feels like I'm drinking a cognac+scotch mix due to the very present grape flavors. Finish: Little tartness to it, silky, and a sweet aftertaste lingers for quite some time.5500.0 JPY per BottleTokyo -
Orange and floral notes on the nose. Surprisingly has quite a body considering it's VS. Caramel, oak, and hops on the palate. A little bit salty too, which reminds me of the Talisker for some reason (this one's not peaty) Sweet toffy finish which is very pleasant. Still has some rough alcohol tastes a little bit but I would believe if someone told me if this was VSOP.3000.0 JPY per Bottle

Very floral and fruity on the nose. Cut grass and apples when first smelled. Because of the NAS, it's lacking in bodiness but still has a present malty flavor. More vanilla or silky than sweet. For the price point, I would prefer Naked Grouse, but would recommend for people who want to start tasting whisky.

Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 8, 2022 (edited April 5, 2022)Strong vanilla, toffee smell from the nose. Oak scents and a little smoky flavor when first sipped and leaves a very leathery sweet texture in the palate. Surprisingly not that strong considering it's 55% but would've loved it if it was a little more spicy. Enjoyed very much.8800.0 JPY per Bottle -

Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed March 8, 2022 (edited March 14, 2022)Sweet, balanced, almost-perfect amount of peat, fruity all in one great dram. Also the 15 year age brings out the mature body well on this fabolous whisky. Probably the best dram in this price range hands down.4400.0 JPY per Bottle
