Method and Madness Single Malt Enhanced With French Oak Casks
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed December 19, 2020Nice sweet nose on this, light caramel some soft spice coming through. Vanilla? Nice fullish body to it, sweet at first, rounds out but not totally smoothly. Plenty of nice spice going on lingers well on the palette. Very drinkable! -
Obvious massive peat on the nose, but refined and soft for the strength of alcohol. Spice, some licorice and medicinal notes. Wonderful full taste, rich, rounded, spicy. Super strong smoke and peat aftertaste, but what else did you expect? Actually very drinkable at full strength, but a little water really opens it up.

Aberfeldy 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 9, 2020 (edited January 19, 2021)Lots of honey and caramel on the nose, a little citrus too. Big flavour in the front of the mouth, toffee, sugar, but not too sweet. Some rum like qualities, vanilla, molasses. Great go-to Scotch!
