    This has the classic shortbread and floral notes you'd expect from Ireland, but what separates this from the others is a very strong candy green apple smell and flavour. EASILY my favourite Irish whiskey - my friends and I unanimously agree that this is even better than Yellow Spot!

    A delicate floral butterscotch with just the right amount of subtle peat smoke, plus a touch of that signature brininess the islands are known for. There is a slight dusty note like you'd find in some cheap blends, but otherwise this is a great Scotch to keep around.

    A good introduction to the Campbeltown region: intense bourbon-like sweetness with a healthy amount of peat. Based on the nose, I think I actually prefer this to the 13 year.

    Very intense briny peat and dark fruit notes. A fantastic Campbeltown - but this is not a casual sipper!

    A (very enjoyable) barrage of funky peat smoke with a surprisingly delicate malt underneath. More robust than Laphroaig, but much lighter than something like Lagavulin.

    Intensely flavourful but with plenty of subtlety - nowhere near as harsh as one would expect. Easily one of my favourite spirits.

    Though the base spirit is thinner and brinier than other Islay malts, the lingering campfire smoke makes it well worth a try. I would definitely recommend this over Laphroaig 10.

    Tastes like cinnamon, buttered toast, and orange marmalade with a tiny hint of peat smoke - goes great with ginger ale as well. An approachable Scotch that still has plenty of character.

    The first couple glasses were a bit harsh and grainy, but it opened up into a very pleasant Irish with added richness and chocolate malt notes. It does still have that harsh Jameson nose, so I wouldn't recommend drinking it from a Glencairn. This would be a great first whiskey for a non whiskey drinker.

    Light and friendly - a great introduction to single malts (and made right here in BC!). I remember this tasting remarkably similar to my Ardbeg 10 without the peat.
