Reviewed January 21, 2017 (edited November 25, 2019)This is a fantastic pour. Not sure how it only scored an 85. Sweet and smooth. Smells almost like bubble gum with sweet notes. Fruity, floural and light with honeysuckle. The finish is fairly long and pleasant. -
Elijah Craig 18 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

Reviewed June 11, 2016 (edited September 25, 2019)If you have never been in a grain silo for corn just rub a drop of this between your hands and smell. The oak follows but is more mellow. Only 90 proof but has an alcohol bite. Nicely spicy with Orr of a nutmeg. Long and oily finish that lingers on the sides of my tongue with a bit of menthol and a bit medicinal. Overall good for this particular barrel. -

Reviewed June 9, 2016 (edited January 19, 2018)Smooth, slightly peaty, nicely spicy but not overly so. Wonderful nose with maple syrup on breakfast barley. Very complex on the tongue but not in a typical way. The French and American oaks are clearly present. The finish is long and smooth. I could drink this every day if I could only find a supply. -
