Tastes

100% barley, aged in bourbon barrels for majority of life, then split into 6 different wine barrels for a year, then blended back together and 1/10th sherry is added. Smells like vanilla and banana. Very spicy and drying, reacts like a dry red. Smooth finish, lots of complexity but flavors are sharp.

95% corn 5% barley. Aged 7-8 years in untoasted wine barrels. Smells like wine. Very smooth with a hint of wine.

Vanilla and smooth. Smells like barley. Light butterscotch or banana. A little harsh finish. Moderately complex.

Carmel and cinnamon. Intense undiluted, but opens up with a few drops of water. Syrupy and slightly medicinal. Smooth finish. Not complex and uninspiring, might make a decent cocktail.

Tastes like banana and vanilla, not spicy and quite smooth. Sweeter for an Irish whiskey. Very good, but not remarkable.

Smells like vanilla and oak. Taste is more of the same. Smoke and oak is light. Taste turns to barley and finish is smooth.

Smells like alcohol, not very pleasant. Taste is of alcohol, then turns medicinal and syrupy. Not a keeper.

Very faint aroma, I have to really stick my nose in to smell it. Has a floral scent. Taste is initially vanilla turning to faint citrus, then caramel once swallowed. Smooth finish. A mild whiskey, but well balanced.
