Tastes

Raisins and lemon greet the nose. The palate is cherries and caramel with hints of vanilla and peat. The finish is creamy with dried cherries taking the lead. Great blended scotch!!

Smooth with big caramel notes. Light finish

Caramelly sweet on the nose. Like drinking a creme brûlée. Thin body and quick finish. A hint of sherry in the finish

The nose is fruity and floral. Cherries and pear are up front on the palate. There is a smoky mid palate with some nice cinnamon. This fades to toffee then to caramel that drifts into a long fruity finish. This is a great dessert scotch.

Butterscotch is slightly more prominent than cinnamon on the nose. The taste profile is similar beginning with the butterscotch and transitioning to cinnamon by mid palate. There is some sweetness that joins the cinnamon in a medium finish. This is well balanced.

Peat smoke dominates the nose. The initial taste is also smoky. There are some vanilla and sweet notes that come thru to balance this out. The finish is spicy and sweet with plenty of peat. A few drops of water bring out more of the sweet notes and ease up the oily mouthfeel. I’m not a huge fan of Islay, but I could drink this regularly.

Floral, tropical fruit notes on the nose. There is a nice blend of caramel sweetness with some light smoke notes at the start. This fades into vanilla and spice in the mid palate. Medium finish that is on the sweeter side.

This is incredibly well balanced. A light smokiness greets the nose like sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows. There is some fruity sweetness there as well. Vanilla and sweetness open the palate. There are some spicy notes that fade into cinnamon. This has a creamy mouthfeel. Wonderful balance and complexity. This will have a permanent place on my shelf!

Smoke. Smoke. Smoke. Then you taste spicy, peaty heat. Couldn’t even finish the sample. Won’t be going back to this one.

Floral and nutty on the nose. Complex flavor profile starts with butterscotch and vanilla and fades into spicy chocolate. This is an easy after dinner scotch.
