    A sweet rye note on the nose. Caramel and rye greet the palate. This is spicy right from the opening. The finish is medium with a creamy caramel.

    Caramel and oak greet the nose. Vanilla and caramel start off the taste. Baking spices and apple follow that. There is a sweet and spicy texture that fades into a medium finish. A great whisky especially for this price point!

    The aroma is sweet. There is sweet and spicy in the initial flavor profile. Buttery toffee is in there. The finish is long with a nice honey.

    Nose is that of fields of hay with a little peat. The initial taste has some toffee and apple and pear. Then black pepper quickly jumps in to balance it out. There is a little bit of peat in the finish. Very smooth.

    Woody aroma. There is an interesting mix of spice with toffee and caramel. There are some wood notes in the finish as well. Overall, not bad. But not outstanding either.

    Raisin on the nose. Butterscotch and cherry at the beginning. The finish is long and smooth with some cinnamon that balances this out.

    Spicy aroma. It starts with a little caramel, but quickly turns to black pepper. The finish is long and hot. There is cinnamon with a little chocolate hidden in there.

    This is really well balanced! The nose is sweet somewhere between birthday cake and butterscotch. Vanilla and creamy butterscotch lead the taste parade. There is some mild spice that comes next that drifts into mild cinnamon. That birthday cake comes back in the long finish - probably topped with cherries.

    Smoky peaty aroma. A hint of sherry if you open it up with a few drops of water. With a little water, there is some sherry and spice that hits you immediately. Citrus and smoky peat compete for the long finish, but the peat wins out. Not bad, but would not be my first choice.
