Tastes

The aromas start with rye and tropical fruits. These also start the flavor profile. Cherries and cinnamon fill the middle still with a little of the rye. It has a medium finish with a hint of iced tea at the end (unsweetened, of course). Not bad for a rye.

Wood and floral notes on the nose. Buttery vanilla fades quickly into a spicy mid palate. The finish is smooth with a bit of spice. Balanced but does not linger.

Oaky nose. There are some sweet flavors like brown sugar and candy sprinkles. There are some spicy notes mid palate. These linger through the finish and are joined by some vanilla and caramel.

Bread and oak on the nose. Cinnamon and caramel dominate the palate. There is a burn that lingers through the finish.

Spicy and sweet notes on the nose. Starts very sweet with some green chiles following quickly behind. The finish is butterscotch with a little toast. It is smooth and balanced. Well worth the price point.

Cherry and sherry on the nose. The taste starts with cherry and birthday cake. Sherry notes come in next which balances this well. Orange and chocolate fade into the finish which is long and lovely. The body is medium and creamy like a butterscotch disk. This is well worth the price. If you see this in the duty free, get it!

A caramel nose. Caramel and vanilla start the flavor profile. There is some cinnamon in the middle that lingers thru the finish. I would have rated this higher if the body were thicker. Otherwise a very enjoyable dram.

Caramel and leather aromas. Very inviting. Dark chocolate and caramel greet the palate. The mid palate is warmed by cinnamon with some butterscotch and vanilla. The finish has some maple syrup and the warmth of alcohol. It is long and pleasing. This will hold a place in my home bar.

Am interesting blend of caramel and mesquite on the nose. Caramel greets the palate with a quick bite of spice. The spice Carrie’s all the way through. Just enough to keep it well balanced. The mesquite and some oaky notes come through in the mid palate combined with a hint of vanilla. There’s a hint of maple syrup in the finish which is medium in length. A great whisky!

Sweet and orange on the nose. The orange plays the lead role at the start. There is some honey and vanilla. And has some of the fruity spicy notes like sherry in the finish. A very nice Irish whisky!
