Laphroaig Cairdeas 2022 Warehouse 1
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed July 29, 2022 (edited October 14, 2022)I’m really enjoying this one. A little off profile but in a good way. A touch of sweetness from the Makers barrels and the salt/brine is definitely there but for me it’s not overwhelming. It almost tingles on your tongue on the finish. I think it’s worth a pick up if you are a peat fan. -
Deanston 12 Year Old 2008 Oloroso Cask Matured
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed July 24, 2022 (edited November 21, 2022)This is outstanding, if you are a sherry fan it’s a must try. I love the sherry bombs and this does not disappoint. Really nice quality whisky and the finish is just what I was looking for. Pick this one up. -
Couldn’t agree more with the other reviews. This has so much going on from lemon to sweet to peat smoke to coffee. It is crazy. Very unique. Not as refined or even close to the Glenmorangie Signet but make it younger and add some peat and lemon and you may be close. Crazy good. Could also be a love it or hate it whisky. I love it!!

Two Stacks The Blender's Cut Apricot Brandy Cask Strength
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed June 11, 2022 (edited September 8, 2023)Really surprised with this one. Hadn’t heard of it and wasn’t expecting much but wow, this is excellent. Really enjoyable Irish whiskey notes and then the fruit kicks in at the end. Very good. -
Smooth Ambler Founders' Cask Strength Series Rye (2021 Edition)
Rye — West Virginia , USA
Reviewed June 11, 2022This just isn’t my thing. Well made and drinkable but this one to me has some dill pickle present and I am just not a fan. I enjoy a good rye and love rye spice/rye bread notes but this one misses that for me.
