Isle of Raasay Na Sia Single Cask Peated Ex-Bordeaux Red Wine
Peated Single Malt — Islands, ScotlandReviewed May 29, 2023I really enjoy this one. Peat is just right and the wine finish os excellent. Love that this one has a higher ABV. Will definitely be looking for future releases from them.100.0 USD per Bottle
Dalmore 18 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandReviewed May 9, 2023I think i am mising something here. I waited to enjoy several drams before reviewing and this just comes up short. For the age and price point i expected much more. The nose is excellent but for me, thars where the positives end. Not enough sherry on the palate and pretty thin for me. At this level i was expecting a much richer flavorful experience. A disappointment for me.
Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate 15 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandReviewed February 18, 2023I am definitely a Glenmorangie fan but this one was a little disappointing for me. It sounds great on paper but its whar ends up in the glass that counts. Its nice but definitely not worth the price tag. It lacks that true Glenmo flavor and nuttiness that I enjoy. Would rather grab a different Glenmo for the price.105.0 USD per Bottle
Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandReviewed November 20, 2022Really enjoy this one. The proof isn’t there at all. So drinkable and enjoyable. A wonderfully made whisky with an amazing sherry component. Really like this one.
Usquaebach An Ard Ri
Blended Malt — Highland, ScotlandReviewed November 20, 2022I really like this one. I am a big Usquaebach fan as it was one of the first scotches that I really enjoyed. It may be priced a tad high but I think it’s worth it. The blend allows for them to get the profile exactly where they want it. Love the cereal grain and the sweetness. Great blend for sure.
Nomad Outland Blended Whisky
Blended — (aged for some time in Spain), ScotlandReviewed October 29, 2022I grabbed this one off of the clearance rack and I am so glad I did. I love a sherry bomb and this thing is a sherry explosion. It almost blurs the line between whisky and sherry which is great. Over the top fig, raisin and sweetness. If this abv was a touch higher it would be outstanding but still great!
Usquaebach Reserve Blended Scotch
Blended — ScotlandReviewed October 12, 2022This one will always have a special place for me. It was the one that turned me from bourbon to scotch. Great blend with wonderful sweet honeyed cereal and a touch of peat. Love this one.
Sutcliffe & Son The Exceptional Grain
Blended Grain — ScotlandReviewed October 12, 2022 (edited January 31, 2023)If you like sweet vanilla then this is your whisky. I grabbed it for $25 and that was an absolute steal. I wouldn’t pay the normal $100 price tag but it is very nice. If you blinded it and said it was Compass Box Hedonism I would not doubt it a bit.
BLACKADDER GUYANA DIAMOND RUM 15YO
Aged Rum — Georgetown , GuyanaReviewed September 4, 2022Man is this thing funky. Nose is sweet and yeasty. On the palate it goes in a whole weird direction. Really different than most rums I’ve had. No real oak influence. All sweet and funk almost tastes like a fruit but not sure which one. If you like funky rum, track this one down.
Highland Park Dark Origins
Peated Single Malt — Orkney, ScotlandReviewed August 21, 2022 (edited October 3, 2022)Not a huge Highland Park fan but I really like this one. Very nice nose and the sherry is definitely there. It cuts the peat a little but not all. Even though it’s NAS it still drinks a little older to me. Really good!
