Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 10, 2021 (edited December 11, 2021)Drinking straight. Sweet apple cinnamon on the nose. Has a dry flavor that sort of counters the sweet. Classic bourbon smell but little if any alcohol up front. Taste is medium length and very clean. You get that nice apple vanilla taste once it hits the tongue with a little fruity twist hiding in plain sight once you feel it there. No burn on the aftertaste. Clean finish. Honestly this bottle was tough to track down in Maryland. Not sure if it lives up to my unrealistic expectations but it’s a classic bourbon taste at a very affordable price. Thumbs up. Mmmmmm scotch. The sherry cask aging is very apparent. The whisky has a dark golden red color. Has the same oily and thick consistency as the ardbeg 10. The nose is very fruity. Has a sweet red wine smell. When you sip it has the sweet smoke and strong fruity scent right there. Aftertaste brings in a nice sweet honey twist and some dark chocolate kick in there. The flavor stays for a long time and is just a thick, sweet, smokey, and oily presence for as long as it should. I drank this a bit after a Lagavulin 16 and this is slightly better. Drink and enjoy. Cheers, mates.85.0 USD per Bottle

Smooth sweet apple pie taste. Sweet. Nose is sweet and has a nice vanilla smell. Taste goes from sweet maple and apple pie and finishes slightly sour but balanced. It’s sought after for a reason. For the price it’s unbeatable. Sometimes it’s best not to overthink. Find. Sip. Enjoy. Cheers.25.0 USD per Bottle

Definitely get the savory taste mixed with a sweet nose. Overall smooth. There’s a little different twist in every sip. Nose is honey and maple with a light fruity sweetness. Thick consistency. Sip coats everything it touches and that sweet savory honey lingers for a solid few seconds. Aftertaste stays there and goes from maple to a smooth almost salty fruit. Complex. A little water really opens it up. I’m a fan of the aging at sea. It works.90.0 USD per Bottle

Thirteen Monkeys All American Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — Buffalo, NY, USA
Reviewed September 9, 2021It’s a smooth blend. Has a bitter taste up front with a sweetness on the nose. Dry finish with a bitter sour apple aftertaste. It’s probably what I expected from whiskey when I hadn’t had a lot of other great ones, but it’s not a bad one at all. Support our vets. Worthwhile. -
