The nose has a lot of ethanol, very sweet with some definite corn. Fairly light and not a lot of depth. Light crisp tongue.

Fairly light for a 12 year, not a lot of depth but some nice foral and fruity notes

N: floral, a little sweet P: very light and delicate, and fruity, I'm getting green apple and pear he palate is definitely interesting and very unique. I would have to try more balvenie to understand whether this is specific to the barrel or specific to the distillery. I really enjoy the more oaky and nutty notes, like toasted almond and walnut.

I got a lot of brown sugar on the nose, very sweet, strong green apple. The palate had strong caramel and vanilla flavors, fairly sweet. Finish was fairly short for me.

I think this is a great single malt. I get the briny and salt flavors from islands but it's not overpowering. The nose has some leather, campfire and cherry. The palate is very complex with moderate phenol and definitely some caramel. The finish has some spice and a little cinnamon, lingers on the tongue.

I'm not a huge fan of this, definitely did not feel like a standard Irish whiskey, this is probably due to the high corn bill. I got some orange peel, brown sugar and nougat on the nose. It was a little bitter and did not feel very complex, a little young.

Really enjoy this bourbon. And the price is incredible. Very soft and complex, I get a lot of vanilla and butterscotch but it's not too sweet. Full and complex.

Light and complex. Really like this whiskey.

Impressive for such a new distillery, excited by the American Single Malt movement and not disappointed in how this whiskey is contributing to that movement.
