Tastes

Not quite as good as I remember, but still really good for a four grain. It does taste a smidge young, but the flavors are very nice. If they release this with a longer age statement it will be something special.

Living in Colorado, I've heard loads of hype around this and I've got to admit that it is quite good. Far from bourbon, this is a pretty unique whiskey. Sweeter than I typically like, it is a rich and smooth whiskey. Best neat or with a single ice cube, but don't water it down, this whiskey can drown easily.

A bit young with strong corn notes. A sweeter bourbon, but it's pretty good in cocktails and neat. I wouldn't recommend on the rocks, it's a bit too mild for that and gets watered down quickly.

Pleasant surprise with this one. I'm not a fan of dewars, but this singlemalt is quite solid. Rich flavor with a nice sweetness that doesn't overpower. Also, it was a gift which always helps!

Very smooth, very rich, just a touch too sweet for me. Overall good, but far from my favorite for the price.

You know what you're getting with this guy - it's always good enough, but never spectacular.

Best cheap bourbon out there! $20 for a 1.75 ltr and it is entirely serviceable for cocktails and on the rocks. It's a bit sweet and far from the smoothest, but for the price it can't be beat!
