It's alright. A little underwhelming/disappointing after hearing good things about it.

Maybe the smoothest whiskey ive had. Smokey, silky, smooth. Not as in your face as green label, but a little still too smokey for me although it's really good for what it is.

Good and well balanced, a little hot. It was a good deal at $48, now it's $57 though. Still not a bad deal.

Reminds me of glendronach 12 but a little better. Not as good of a value though

Not bad but I dont think rye is my thing (except for pikesville so far). Huge pour at Lucky Fools in Moorpark.

Pretty smoky, smooth, nothing special but decent

With my limited peaty scotch experience, the scotch i can compare this to is hp 12. Compared to hp 12, this is slightly less sweet initially, has a little thicker mouthfeel, and is quite a bit more smokey/peaty. My palate does not need this much smoke or peat but it' still good if im in the mood. Smooth too. $50 or less aint bad but i probably wont be buying it again. A bit too much smoke and peat for me so I'll go for the hp 12.

Great mouthfeel and smooth as fuck. Im a little confused why the profile graph shows "oily" as very low. Based on the mouthfeel i thought it'd be med/high oily. No outlier flavor for me, just good bourbon flavors. A steal for $30-$35. Found for $30 at bevmo in westlake village, $35 might be more typical. Glad it's not too hard to find in CA!

Nice mouthfeel (silky but light), nice sweet honey, decent finish. Better than glenmorangie original cause it doesnt have that funky aftertaste of glenmorangie. Good flavor and a great value. Perfect everyday scotch.
