Rabbit Hole Dareringer Straight Bourbon Finished in PX Sherry Casks
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 7, 2020 (edited September 13, 2020)First Tasting(neat) - Nothing traditional about this one, probably not for a newer bourbon drinker, but I loved it. Nose: cherry and brown sugar Mouth: mellow and smooth mild oaky Finish: This is where it shines, long lasting, & this is where the distinct Sherry notes hit and last quite a while. This one could get me in trouble! -
Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 31, 2020 (edited September 20, 2020)I’m a word.....balanced! Typical bourbon flavors and nose, nothing that stands out as different. I’m not saying that in a bad way, this is a really good classic bourbon that seems to have a just right balance of spicy and sweet, and I really enjoyed the finish. At a fairly high proof, it’s still easy to sip and enjoy. Only complaint, wish they would put the batch info on the bottles, just cause I’m a nerd. -
Favorite wheated bourbon so far and maybe my favorite barrel proof yet. At this proof, usually water is needed, not with this one. I like regular Larceny but this really adds depth on the nose and in the mouth. It’s got heat but no harshness, just a warm hug on the way down. Nose:caramel, butterscotch, maybe banana... Mouth: sweet smooth I get more bananas (banana nut bread), liqueur almost. My favorite part is the finish. It lets you know it’s barrel proof but not in a bad way. A little wood and a nice camp fire warmth. Took awhile to get ahold of this and not disappointed at all At this price point #chickendinner

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 3, 2020 (edited June 24, 2020)Barrel 20-00893 My first time with JD SBS and I was impressed with this one. Sweet caramel and honeysuckle on nose. A nice spice level and more sweetness and smooth in the mouth and going down. Not a long finish. Definitely will try more.60.0 USD per BottleStones River Total Beverages -
Soft on the nose, typical bourbon aromas. Super mellow on the palate, it’s good but nothing that really stands out. Short finish. Would be a solid choice for a new bourbonite, especially neat. As it’s not too bold or hot. So in closing nothing special here, but it’s not bad either. My opinion.....leave it in the barrel for a bit longer, and you just might have something

Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 4, 2020 (edited April 21, 2020)A very solid bourbon, especially at this price. Sweet with a little alcohol on the nose, smooth and easy in the mouth, light oak finish that doesn’t hang around too long. Good daily sipper Second Tasting: just as good! Bumped it up
