Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 20, 2017 (edited December 24, 2017)This was an unbelievable experience. It's hard to understand how a whiskey can be this good. A bit more oaky and less maple than the 20, but still a complex drink with a finish than lasts for days. Gotta try it at least once. -

Blanton's Straight From the Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 21, 2016 (edited August 28, 2017)Only way to describe the nose is "outrageous". It's on par with the Pappy 20 yr in that regard, and just barely behind on the palate. It's definitely powerful stuff, so beware on the first sip. A must own for bourbon fanatics. -
Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot "B" 12 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 20, 2016 (edited June 8, 2017)Very good, but not noticeably better than Weller 12. A bit of a letdown after tasting Pappy 20 -
Westland Garryana 2016 Edition 1.1
American Single Malt — Washington , USA
Reviewed December 13, 2016Shockingly unique; drinks more like a single malt scotch than an American whiskey. Reminded me of Highland Park 18. This is a must try. -
Forged Oak 15 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky (bottled in Tennessee), USA
Reviewed November 23, 2016 (edited November 24, 2016)I enjoyed it, but not worth the hype. Luckily I only paid $65 in PA.
