Nose It changes through the weeks as you empty it. Give it time. The bottle definitely opens up more and more. Green apple and nectar as you first crack it to some more bourbon like smells. Hints of some young oak and toasted marshmallows are there. Pallete Sweet upfront and an earthy bitterness on the finish. Kinda like an Unripened pear. More oily than you would expect. It has a smoothness to it but not as smooth as Jameson. Finish It lingers for a good 40 seconds. A weak brine coctail of tannins and a slight rum funk. Not a fan of the finish.50.0 USD per Bottle

Warehouse #: JE Barrel #: 4-1 Q Trying it neat. nose... um sweet fruit, really feels like you can smell the 100 proof. Taste is a little spicy for me. trying to taste the notes that are present but the cayenne and cinnamon are way to over bearing. The tingly/numbing feeling in the finish leads to an unpleasant burning on the tongue and cheeks. probably won't buy this batch again.

Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 7, 2019 (edited September 7, 2019)It's the Dr. Pepper of the rye world! So many flavors going on to its advantage. it's perfection....and you can't beat the price. Oh!! Almost forgot... When i bought it. The first pour was a bit medicinal and astringent. The second half of the bottle is better because it had some time to open up and breath. Let it sit in the cupboard half gone for a week. You will thank me.27.99 USD per Bottle -
Great for the price. The nose reminds me of opening a tin of dates on the holidays at my grandparents. Candy and fruit hits you right up front on the pallet. Could be a bit smoother going down but in the winter I look forward to a little burn. and... last but not least the finish. I get liqurish and smoke. I do wish the finish could last a bit longer.
