Green Spot Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed July 2, 2016 (edited August 14, 2016)Warm and sweet on the nose with baking spices. On the pallet, it reciprocates the full body but quickly fades with very little of a lingering taste. The light body and floral notes make this an easy whiskey on warmer days. -
Octomore 06.1/167 Scottish Barley
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed May 28, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)A hint of baking spice on the nose and a full, warm body that pulls through to an earthy, light finish. -
A floral bouquet with a touch of sweet on the nose chased by rich baked desert taste that reprises itself a beater after the initial taste. A couple drops of water softens the bite and opens up the bouquet just a bit more without compromising the richness too much. A relatively even body with a nice full finish.
